FRUSTRATE means to confuse, to nullify plans, to make the enemies plans of non effect in your life and over your life.
God says today that whatever the enemy has planned in your life will not work.
2 Samuel 15
Absalom was not aware that although he had driven his father David out of the kingdom and the castle, he had not driven the kingdom out of David. There are things that God has planted in you that cannot be removed from inside you. They may take you out of your job/position but they will never take the job/position out of you. God has planted breakthroughs, miracles, financial prosperity and success within you. Know that we are not dictated by what we see on the outside but we are driven by what we see on the inside.
The Bible says that we should not be afraid of those who can kill the flesh but be afraid of those who can kill both the flesh and the spirit. Your enemies will not steal or kill that which is of the spirit because it is locked up in you. It does not matter what you may be going through, do not go to inyangas and false prophets because you will be revealing the password they will use to get to your spirit. No matter what you may be going through, never tell the devil your password. The devil will not be able to unlock your spirit without the password. The reason why you are able to move from strength to strength, from glory to glory and from power to power is because the devil does not have your password and therefore cannot unlock your spirit. This frustrates your enemies and they start asking “What manner of man is this?”.
Jesus asked His disciples who people think He is. Because they did not have the password, they kept saying you are John the Baptist, Jeremiah the Prophet, Elijah, one of the prophets etc. All these were wrong answers. The password was given to Peter. He got the revelation and answered that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God. Jesus said that Peter got it right but added that this revelation did not come from flesh and blood but from God’s Spirit. Even your family, friends and people around you may not understand you. They need a password from heaven in order to understand you.
Do not expect everybody to understand you because you are a mystery. Your life is so precious to God that He will never give anyone your password. Unless you give your enemies your password, your enemies will never know it. Guard your heart because that’s where your password is. Samson gave his secret code to Delilah.
David was driven out of the kingdom but the kingdom was not driven out of him. They can steal everything from you but they will never steal Christ, the hope of glory, from you. We will never lose the hope that is inside us. That’s what kept David going. Know that we have a priesthood which can never be taken away from us. You are a priest forever in the order of Melchizedek.
2 Samuel 15:23 – 29
As David was walking by the countryside, running away from his son Absolom, the people in the villages started crying out of pity for David. However these people could not help David. You may have been driven out of your place of comfort, but don’t blame people because they are powerless to help you. Only God can help you in that situation. David says I lift my eyes unto the hills from where my help cometh, my help cometh from the Lord. When you face a bad situation, never blame your family, relatives, friends or church members. Simply look up to the Lord and trust God to help you.
When David was running from Absalom, amongst the people who were with him was a priest called Zadok who was also a prophet and a seer. Zadok could see into the future but in this instance he was running with David and could not see anything. There are situations in your life where God will not allow the seers and prophets to see anything that will encourage you. You also don’t dream or see anything which will bring hope to your situation. In times when you cannot see anything, open your spiritual eyes and you will see God clearly and shining brighter. Since Zadok could not see anything and couldn’t therefore bring a word of encouragement to David, David asked him to return to the city so that David can only trust God. David says that if God likes and loves him, He will protect him until he returns to the city to see the ark of God again. He also says that if God is not pleased with him, let His will be done. Let me tell you today that God likes you, loves you and is pleased with you. God is interested in you, in your success and in your breakthroughs. You will return to the city and will see the ark of God again. If you are displaced, God will place you again where you belong.
2 Samuel 15:30
David prayed to God that He turns Ahithophel’s counsel into foolishness. This is the theme of this message and your prayer point. The Bible says David continued to climb the mountain. There is a time in your life where you climb a mountain. It may be now or later but it is guaranteed that you will climb a mountain. There is no short cut to the summit of the mountain and there will be no cable car to take you there.
The Bible also says that David climbed the mountain bare footed. Know that your shoes will be worn out while climbing. Shoes represent support. You will lose all your support as you climb and will consequently be pierced by thorns and will feel sharp stones against your feet. When you see somebody on the summit enjoying life, you must know that the person was not born on the summit but at the valley. That person climbed the mountain from the valley and ultimately reached the summit of the mountain.
Jesus went up Mount Golgotha bare footed and without clothes. There was no Peter because Peter was already denying Jesus. Peter was at this time referring to Jesus as that man and no longer the Christ, the Son of God who was revealed to him. You must know that people will deny you as you climb the mountain.
You must also know that you don’t just kill Goliath and everything starts running smoothly. Killing Goliath just introduces you to people. After killing Goliath, women went around singing about David because they were introducing a boy who was coming from faraway in the wilderness. Even his own father, Jesse had forgotten about David. When Samuel came to anoint the king God had to tell Samuel to ask Jesse if all his sons were present. God himself had to remind Jesse of his son David who was herding sheep in the fields. God is today restoring people, even those who have made mistakes in the past.
2 Samuel 15:31
David had been told that Ahithophel was amongst the conspirators with Absolom. As David climbed the mountain, he was weeping which made the people who were with him to weep also. Know that there will be weeping as you climb your mountain. If you have been weeping in your life, God will give you time to laugh because there is time to weep and there is time to laugh.
When you climb the mountain, people will change their alliance. Note that Ahithophel was a supporter of David and actually the number one counsellor of David. When Absalom drove David out of the kingdom, Ahithophel aligned himself with Absalom. When you climb the mountain, your family, relatives, friends and people close to you will stand with your enemies.
2 Samuel 15:32
However, when you get to the summit of the mountain, that’s where you will meet your Hushai (Destiny helper). When Jeus was about to reach the summit, He met Simon of Cyrene who helped Him. The reason why Simon did not appear at the beginning was that Jesus had to carry His own cross. Jesus may as well say to us to day that “Whoever wants to follow me, let him carry his own cross and follow me”. So, when you are climbing the mountain, do not blame other people for it is your own cross you are carrying. However, know that help is on the way. Hushai is waiting at the summit and will never appear at the beginning of the journey.
It is God’s pleasure to hid Hushai or Simon for a season. Jesus tried to call His Simon earlier at Gethsemane when He said “Father if it delights you, remove this cup from me”. God did not remove the cup because it delighted Him to hide Simon for a while. When you reach the summit, you will be the most wanted person in companies, business, government etc.
2 Samuel 17:14
All the plans of Ahithophel and Absolom (your enemies) will be frustrated henceforth. Whatever the enemy plans in secret places against your life cannot work. It is only when God is on your side that the enemies’ plans will not work in your life.
2 Samuel 17:23
God says that the advice of your enemies will henceforth be rejected. Agreements will be turned into disagreements. I prophesy that you will not die but you will live to declare the works of the Lord. Instead Ahithophel of your life will prepare his last meal and hang himself thereafter.
2 Samuel 18:9
It is not only God who is on your side, I declare that even the transport of your enemies will be on your side. It is not only Ahithophel who changed alliances but Absolom’s mule also changed alliance. Absolom was left alone in the thicket and so will your enemies be left alone in the mighty name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
